Members of the Archinech Easter Ranch of Tinajo participated last Friday in a musical workshop organized by CIEM Lanzarote. It was taught to the students of Music and Movement, Initiation and First A, between the ages of 5 and 8 years old by Professor Jennifer Rodríguez.

The "Ranchero Mayor", Antonio Tejera Cabrera, 87 years old, was one of the members who enthusiastically came to the classroom to teach the little ones part of our cultural heritage. A tradition inherited from parents to children that currently must continue to be promoted so that it is not lost over the years.

The members performed the "Corrido", a very important piece in the ranch's repertoire, getting the students to join their voices singing the choruses. In addition, they explained the names of each of the most significant instruments of the ranch, such as the sword, the small sword, the tambourine with the bells, the tambourine or the castanets, including the guitar.

The students were very attentive at all times to each of the explanations that arose during the visit. The teacher, Jennifer Rodríguez, positively valued the experience on the part of the students for the interest shown. She thanked the valuable collaboration of the members of the Rancho de Pascua for their dedication, putting at the service of the center and the students all the experience carried out to keep alive the traditional spirit of Christmas.
