The Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz will host this Saturday, May 4, starting at 7:00 p.m., the second of the dramatized concerts of the cycle Entre notas y palabras (Between Notes and Words), organized by Cultura Arrecife. During the event, a play will be staged in which the tenor from Lanzarote, Pancho Corujo, pays tribute to the soprano María Callas, as the centenary of her birth was commemorated last December.
“This is an opportunity to enjoy, through the performances of Teresa Garzón, Marta de Andrés, and Olga Nevalainen, the tribute that Pancho Corujo pays as a woman, diva, and myth to this illustrious artist,” says Abigail González, who reminds that admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
Spearheaded by the aforementioned opera singer from Lanzarote, Entre notas y palabras is a commitment to reproduce great works in a small format with original creations that combine different disciplines of the performing arts in a single act.
Started on April 23 with the staging of Don Pablo… ¿con brocha? (Don Pablo... with a brush?), this cycle of dramatized concerts will be completed with the performance of ‘Psicópera’ on May 11 and ‘The best bad girls’ on June 8, also at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz in Arrecife.
