The Lanzarote actress Marta Viera has won the 2020 Réplica Award for best performance for her role in the play 'The Fuencarral Street Crime'.
"I wasn't expecting it at all," she said in statements to La Voz, in which she said she was "very happy" to have won this award, which "is undoubtedly a recognition." "I was also with fellow nominees who each had more talent, so it gives you a boost," she added.
However, this is the third time that this Lanzarote native has won the Réplica Award, which is awarded by the Association of Performing Arts Companies of the Canary Islands. In 2013 and 2015, she also won this award for her performances in the children's musical 'Pippi Longstocking' and in the play 'My name is Suleiman'.

The 2020 Réplica Awards gala was held on Tuesday night at the Teatro La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
