El Vega Life from Gran Canaria will perform at the Yaiza Youth August 2023, known for his Canarian rumbas and for talking about the islands in the lyrics of his songs. The southern City Council has reported in a statement the program aimed at the youngest population of the municipality.
The activities will last for two weeks full of recreational and artistic activities until August 19. El Vega Life will perform that same day at 1:00 p.m. in Plaza del Carmen during the water festival.
The mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, and the Councilor for Youth, Daniel Medina, invite residents of Yaiza and the entire population of Lanzarote who wish to join this celebration to consult the program published on the municipal website yaiza.es
Youth August combines workshops and video game tournament, archer 'battles', chess, wooden games and skate workshops. "The idea is that the meeting around all these activities promotes the enjoyment of our young people and strengthens ties of friendship and fellowship between boys and girls," notes Óscar Noda.
Daniel Medina as municipal head of Youth highlights "that the design of the program is marked by the experience of previous years and, of course, the proposals of the young people themselves of Yaiza who decide how they want to celebrate these days dedicated to them within the summer period."
El Vega "is undoubtedly a musical attraction for its cheerful and catchy repertoire, the charisma it shows and its interpretation nourished by musical tastes of young people such as hip hop, reggae and the mix of Latin rhythms, so the closing of the Yaiza Youth August looks quite promising", adds the Yaiza City Council.
The program that begins this Tuesday, August 9 includes a chess masterclass in Las Breñas and a novelty in Uga and Playa Blanca, these are two sessions of archery tag or archer fights that are battles similar to paint ball but using bows and arrows with rubber tips.
Youth August also returns with Esports Yaiza Competition training workshops and the highly demanded video game tournaments for those over 18 years of age or minors with authorization, whose registrations can be managed now on the website esportscompetition.es/yaiza/ The Yaiza City Council carries out the program with the support of the Cabildo de Lanzarote.
