The city of Arrecife returns to normal and resumes its program of activities today, Saturday, after being canceled this Friday due to the downpour that fell at noon this Friday, December 1.
Among the canceled events was the inauguration of the traditional Nativity Scene, located in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, which is already open to the public since this Saturday morning and will be visited this afternoon by the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, at 6:30 p.m.
Also present at the visit will be those responsible for the areas participating in the Christmas festivities, as well as the rest of the councilors of the Municipal Corporation.
This Nativity Scene has been made entirely by personnel from the Arrecife City Council, under the direction and design of Juan José Torres, Tejure, and Pedro Villalba, from the Department of Festivities, with the collaboration of other municipal areas.
It occupies more than 200 square meters and the design developed is of classical inspiration, with a clear evocation towards the domestic architecture and local landscape of Lanzarote.
Within the Christmas program, other activities are also being held this Saturday morning, such as storytelling in the Plaza de la Constitución, Christmas workshops in Calle Real and music in motion with the Parranda Los Labradores in the Commercial Zone.
At 1:00 p.m., the group “Salvapantallas” will offer a concert in the Ramírez Cerdá Park, where “Ende cuando no salimos” will also perform, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Also, remember that the gastronomy and music area in the municipal Recova, with live music, will be open from 12:00 to 24:00 hours.
Outside the Christmas agenda, other events are also taking place today, such as the Noon Festival concert, which is held every Saturday at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz, by Cultura Arrecife, or ‘Esports Arrecife Competition 2023’, organized by the Youth Area.
