The First Section of the Provincial Court of Las Palmas is going to try next week six defendants for introducing cocaine and heroin into the Canary Islands to then distribute it through Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria. The trial was initially scheduled for November 2025.

The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses A.I.S.P., D.M.P.S. and C.C.H.O. of introducing the drug into the archipelago, while pointing out that C.S.E. and A.R.O.M. would allegedly do the same in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, respectively, to then distribute it throughout both islands and sell it to third parties.

Besides, the accused A.R.S.M. had already been convicted on two previous occasions for crimes of damage and robberies with force by courts of Arrecife.

The Prosecutor's Office assures that this drug was transported personally by the accused or through the use of third parties who acted as "mules".

In the case of Lanzarote, it accuses C.S.E. of allegedly arranging an appointment on January 20, 2024 with another person, who has already been judged for these facts, and of delivering 475 grams of cocaine and 176 grams of heroin for them to transport it between Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. The drug had a value of 38,000 euros in the illicit market.

The Public Prosecutor's Office points out that C.S.E. also arranged an appointment with UCO, convicted for these facts, on May 13, 2024, to transport around 51,000 euros in cocaine.

At the same time, it states that this accused was later arrested on September 11, 2024, after landing in Lanzarote with 202 grams of cocaine and 165 of heroin, with a value of 12,000 euros.

The Prosecutor's Office states that after carrying out a search at the homes of C.S.E in the capital of Gran Canaria and in Arrecife, they seized around 1,250 grams of caffeine, facetin, paracetamol and different utensils for dosing and distributing substances, as well as three mobile phones and 1,375 euros.

In the searches of the rest of the accused, millions of euros in drugs, vehicles, two taxi licenses, as well as cash, were intercepted.

The Public Prosecutor's Office requests eleven years in prison for the accused A.I.S.P., D.M.P.S., C.C.H.O. and C.S.E. for a crime against public health in the modality of substances that cause serious harm to health and another of integration into a criminal group. In addition to the payment of seven million euros.

Meanwhile, requests for A.R.O.M. a sentence of ten years in prison, special disqualification and a fine of five million euros for the same crimes. In addition, for the accused A.R.S.M. requests five years in prison and a fine of 60,000 euros.

The Prosecutor's Office requests that two of them serve the sentence in full in the country and that, upon accessing the third degree or conditional release, they be expelled from the country and be prohibited from returning to Spain for ten years.

In addition to the drug and the objects seized in the operation, it has been requested to confiscate several homes in Gran Canaria, two taxi licenses from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, several vehicles, money in current accounts and cash.
