The hospitality sector continues to demand qualified professionals, and registration is now open for a new face-to-face course that trains unemployed people as dining room service professionals in restaurants. This training, practice-oriented, prepares students to work as waiters, section managers or sector managers, mastering all the necessary techniques to offer a professional and quality service in restaurants and events.
During the course, which is subsidized by the SEPE and the Canarian Employment Service, participants will learn from the preparation and organization of the dining room to the personalized treatment of customers, the preparation of dishes in view of the diner and the service of wines. They will also be trained in professional communication in English, which will allow them to function smoothly in tourist and international environments. The course also includes specific training in hygiene, safety and environmental protection regulations, fundamental aspects in the daily work within a hospitality establishment.
The training takes place at the Akacenter Professional Training Center, in face-to-face mode and in a specialized hospitality classroom, which guarantees learning based on real practice. At the end, the students will carry out professional internships in companies in the sector, thus facilitating their incorporation into the labor market with direct experience.
The course is aimed at unemployed people who want to start in the sector without prior experience. To access, the ESO degree is required or equivalent, a level 1 certificate of the professional area, or having passed any of the access tests to higher-level FP or to the university for people over 25 years. If these requirements are not met, pre-registration is still possible, as there are alternative free access routes.
With a total duration of 600 hours - 580 of classroom training and 80 of internships - this course offers a concrete opportunity to acquire the professional skills demanded by the sector and improve employability in one of the areas with the greatest job prospects.
