The official opening of the Islote de Fermina will be carried out this Saturday, January 28 by the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo and the mayor of Arrecife, Ástrid Pérez.

Benjamín Perdomo, CEO of the Art, Tourism and Culture Centers, which will manage the Islote, has told La Voz that the new center will open to the public on Monday, January 30.

"There is no entrance fee, it will be open to all Lanzarote residents and will have a cafeteria open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.", explained Perdomo, who also reveals that the new CACT, which has an investment of close to 3 million euros, "will be dedicated to events, especially sports."

The Islote de Fermina, located between El Reducto beach and the Islas Canarias Park, is an original work by César Manrique.
