Costa Teguise hosts the presentation of the Isla de Lanzarote and Distinguished Tourism Awards 2025

The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort García, presided over the event together with local authorities, representatives of the tourism sector and personalities distinguished for their involvement in the development of tourism on the island.

Within the framework of World Tourism Day, the Cabildo de Lanzarote, through SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, celebrated the Isla de Lanzarote and Distinguished Tourism Awards 2025 ceremony this Monday, September 29. The ceremony took place on the Playa de Las Cucharas dike (Costa Teguise) at 8:00 p.m.

The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort García, presided over the event together with local authorities, representatives of the tourism sector and personalities distinguished for their involvement in the development of tourism on the island.

The World Tourism Day 2025 awards have distinguished Aer Lingus with the Isla de Lanzarote 2025 Award, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the positioning of the destination in the Irish market. In the Distinguished Tourism 2025 category, the recognitions have gone to Ereza Hotels & Resorts in the business field, the Vertical de Montaña Blanca as a cultural and sporting event, and Naji Zegdaoui Bardoukh as a prominent personality.

In addition, special mentions have been given to the Salinas de Janubio, for their heritage and landscape value, and to Pedro Orlando (Ico) Montelongo Pérez, for his career in tourism promotion.
