The average price of housing has barely risen in the Canary Islands in November, it is an increase of 0.2%, which practically equates to a stabilization of prices.
On the other hand, the cost of acquiring a second-hand house in the archipelago accumulates 22.5% in its year-on-year variation, which represents an average price of 2,389 euros per square meter at present, according to data from the Fotocasa Real Estate Index.
Compared to a year ago, 16 Spanish autonomous communities increased the year-on-year price in November. The largest increase occurs in the Canary Islands, followed by the Balearic Islands (17.3%) and Navarra (10.9%).
Next, La Rioja with 9.2%, Valencia with 8.8%, Madrid with 8.3%, Andalusia with 7.8%, Murcia with 6.5%, Aragon with 4.6%, Basque Country with 4.6%, Cantabria with 4.5%, Asturias with 4.3%, Catalonia with 3.1%, Castilla-La Mancha with 2.8%, Castilla y León with 2.1% and Galicia with 2.0%.
As for the ranking of Autonomous Communities (CC.AA.) with the most expensive second-hand housing prices in Spain, we find the Balearic Islands and Madrid, with prices of 3,802 euros/m2 and 3,652 euros/m2, respectively.
They are followed by the Basque Country with 3,055 euros/m2, Catalonia with 2,737 euros/m2, the Canary Islands with 2,389 euros/m2, Navarra with 2,058 euros/m2, Andalusia with 1,974 euros/m2, Cantabria with 1,878 euros/m2, Aragon with 1,738 euros/m2, Comunitat Valenciana with 1,718 euros/m2, Galicia with 1,707 euros/m2, La Rioja with 1,658 euros/m2, Asturias with 1,650 euros/m2, Castilla y León with 1,474 euros/m2, Murcia with 1,280 euros/m2, Extremadura with 1,196 euros/m2 and Castilla-La Mancha with 1,189 euros/m2.
