Vacation homes earned an average of 3,314 euros per accommodation last February in Lanzarote. This is according to data published by the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).
Specifically, in the second month of the year, there were 7,290 tourist accommodations available for rent, out of the 9,873 houses or apartments intended for tourist use that are registered in the General Tourist Registry of the island, an essential requirement to carry out this activity in the Canary Islands.
Of those available in February, 95.5% were booked, while if we consider all registered properties, the occupancy rate was 70.5%.
In the second month of the year, vacation homes in Lanzarote reached 24.1 million euros in revenue. This figure is the fourth highest recorded on the island since data has been available, only behind the revenues of November (25.7 million) and December (26.1) of 2024 and January of 2025 (24.1).
According to this survey, tourists stay an average of almost five days in the vacation homes on the island, following the trend of recent years.
Lanzarote's vacation rentals are the most expensive in the Canary Islands
Vacation homes in Lanzarote earned an average of 202.67 euros per day. Per accommodation place, villas with capacity for more than eight people cost an average of 513.97 euros, while accommodations with capacity for between five and eight people drop to 285.15. In contrast, homes with capacity for between one and four people cost around 130.66 euros per night.
The most expensive tourist houses, apartments, and villas are in Yaiza (276.45 euros per night) and in Tías (212.26), while the most economical are in Arrecife (112.32 euros per night).
