The CEOE of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has asked this Monday, February 14, the Government of the Canary Islands to "immediately" launch the negotiation tables to assess in which sectors and with what intensity the extension of the temporary employment regulation files (ERTE) should be considered.
Pedro Alfonso, general secretary of the CEOE of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has made public a message in which he points out that the request has been made in writing and now they are doing it publicly because there is concern because the ERTEs are scheduled to end this month and it is not known what will happen with its extension.
Alfonso has indicated that they need to clarify that a resolution of "firm and decisive" support will be approved from the Canary Islands so that the temporary employment regulation files can be extended in some sectors in which it is "extremely important" to maintain employment and some companies cannot guarantee that they can sustain it.
The general secretary of the CEOE of Tenerife has stated that in these negotiation tables it is necessary to make an effort to extend the term of the ERTE in some sectors, and for this reason they ask the regional government to convene the negotiation tables.
The desire is that there be an agreement with the greatest possible consensus, or with unanimity as it has been until now, declared Pedro Alfonso, who is in favor of it being done in the most "rapid and efficient way possible."
