The Cabildo of Lanzarote will launch, starting this December 29, the new edition of the project 'New Employment Opportunities in Lanzarote', in which it will offer a job opportunity to 39 newly qualified people so that they acquire professional experience. This new edition of the program will last "12 months in various sectors" and has the collaboration of the Canarian Employment Service and the European Social Fund.
The Minister of Employment, Ascensión Toledo, has highlighted that, through this initiative, the aim is to "obtain professional practice by the beneficiaries, carrying out works and services of general and social interest to acquire professional practice and improve employability."
"The participants will have the opportunity to acquire work experience and increase their training through the training itineraries offered by the program, facilitating their insertion into the labor market," added the Minister. The selected people are unemployed, registered in the Arrecife Employment Office, and have completed their studies in a period not exceeding three years.
The required qualifications are technicians in environmental sciences, biology, tourism, agricultural engineering, geography, history, pedagogy, social education, law, technician in ADE or CADE, audiovisual communication, economist, social worker, equality agents, social integrator, psychology, higher technician in administration and finance, teaching (primary education), veterinary, higher technician in electrical installations, technical architect or industrial engineering, higher technician in project design, among others.
The 'NOE 2023-2024' project is financed through a grant of "1,226,925 euros" and by the Employment Area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote with "404,175.49 euros".
