Lanzarote has more hotel workers than Gran Canaria per tourist place, but less than Tenerife

Lanzarote's hotel establishments increased their staff by 700 people in the last year

The staff of Lanzarote's hotels has increased by 7.8% in the last year. If in November of last year the sum of the staff of the island's hotel establishments was 8,710 people, last month it reached 9,451 employees

According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the number of tourist places estimated in Lanzarote reached 42,579 units

Therefore, the ratio between places and employees on the island of volcanoes stood at 4.5 tourist places per worker in November. However, the occupancy remained at 74.8%

The hotels of La Gomera, with 1,422 places, and 418 workers are the ones with the most employees per tourist places. With a total capacity, each worker should attend an average of 3.4 places. The occupancy in La Gomera was 64.4%

Next, Tenerife, where hotels have 95,998 places and 21,782 workers. That is, 4.4 places per employee. The occupancy in Tenerife was 75.7%

In Gran Canaria, each hotel worker has an average of 4.8 places. There are a total of 69,261 places and 14,197 employees. The occupancy on the neighboring island reached 78%.

The hotels of Fuerteventura, on the other hand, add up to a total of 51,439 places and have 10,138 workers so that each one would have to attend five tourist places if there was a total capacity. The occupancy in Fuerteventura in November was 74.8%

Finally, La Palma, where there are 605 hotel workers and 4,893 places. That is, 8 places per worker, although the occupancy was the lowest in the Canary Islands and remained at 49.2%.
