The Ministry of Employment of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Employment Service (SCE), has opened the call period for the years 2025-2026 of the grants from the ‘Certifícate’ program, aimed at promoting the labor insertion of people who have obtained the recognition of a professional certificate. This initiative has a budget of 200,000 euros per year.

The amount of aid to be granted to each of the applicant companies amounts to 7,000 euros for each permanent contract, while for those with a duration equal to or greater than six months and less than one year, an amount of 3,000 euros is contemplated, which rises to 4,000 euros if the duration is twelve months.

The program also establishes an increase of 1,000 euros if the person hired is a woman, over 45 years old at the time of hiring and young people under 30 years of age.

On the other hand, with a total amount of 800,000 euros for the years 2025 and 2026, the deadline for submitting applications for the program called ‘Return to employment’ also begins. These aids are aimed at encouraging the hiring of long-term unemployed people and contemplate subsidies ranging between 3,000 and 7,000 euros for each employment contract formalized by companies and self-employed people who hire employees to provide services in work centers located in the autonomous community.

And, finally, with a global item of 300,000 euros, the ‘Incentívate’ program will allow the hiring of young job seekers registered in the National Youth Guarantee System, who will receive training alternating with work, aimed at obtaining a professional certificate.
