Sales of used vehicles fell by 16.4% in Lanzarote in November compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Ganvam employers' association of official and independent distributors.

The key is the purchase of cars by individuals, which has plummeted by 21.5%. If in November 2021, 791 second-hand cars were sold for private use in Lanzarote, in November of this year there have been 621.

The commercial sector has slowed the average drop, as almost 10% more vehicles have been purchased for this use last November compared to the same period in 2021.

The sum of sales so far this year, however, is still better than the accumulated of last year for these dates. Specifically, so far in 2022, nearly 1000 more cars have been sold than between January and November 2021.

In the whole of the Canary Islands, the used vehicle market fell by 5.9% in November, to stand at 7,812 units.
