“It has been an important step for our Chamber, because if we are encouraging companies to digitize, we have to set an example of this” explained its president José Valle in reference to the inauguration of the electronic headquarters of the institution he chairs.
Thanks to this, companies can now interact digitally with the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, the first of the Chambers of Commerce of the Canary Islands to implement this digital tool.
The electronic headquarters of the Lanzarote Chamber facilitates the relationship with suppliers and users, since it allows submitting any type of instance, query, service request, invoice submission, etc., through an automatic entry record. This possibility means a saving of time in travel, in addition to increasing security in the processes.
As corporations of public law, the Chambers of Commerce are not obliged to have an electronic headquarters activated to interact with companies and service users, as public administrations are. However, the Chamber considered that it was an "important step on the path to digitization" that it promotes among companies.
However, the Chamber will continue to provide the usual face-to-face attention at its facilities and by telephone.
