The Island Governing Council of the Cabildo de Lanzarote approved this Monday the increase of 200,000 euros in the credit allocated to the call for subsidies under a competitive system for operating expenses in livestock farms, corresponding to the year 2025, increasing its initial allocation from 50,000 to a total of 250,000 euros.
The same recently occurred with subsidies for operating expenses on farms, which were initially endowed with 50,000 euros up to 255,000 euros.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and councilor for Agriculture and Livestock, Oswaldo Betancort, has detailed how this measure is part of the Strategic Plan for Subsidies 2023-2025, "allows increasing the credits assigned to the current calls without the need to open a new application period."
The purpose of the agreement is to respond to the number of applications submitted, a total of 86. The resolution can be consulted on the official website of the Institution.
Betancort also reiterated that "the livestock sector is essential for the economy and territorial balance of Lanzarote and La Graciosa; and from the Institution we are making a significant budgetary effort so that no professional is left out of the aid system."
