The Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa maintains its outstanding mark in the transparency exam for the third consecutive year. The business entity obtained a score of 9.82 points out of 10, according to the criteria established by the Transparency Commissioner.
The score now published corresponds to the review carried out in 2022, which analyzes the information published from the previous year. This evaluation, carried out by the Transparency Commissioner of the Canary Islands, is carried out on all public administrations, corporations under public law, such as chambers of commerce, and any organization that receives public funds. The review analyzes the public availability of certain information from these institutions, as well as the accessibility and format of publication of said information, considering the degree of compliance with state and Canary Islands transparency laws.
For the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle Martínez, "the effort to comply with the highest degree of transparency towards citizens and, in our case, towards the business community, is of utmost importance to guarantee the correct functioning of the institutions, as well as the use of public funds."
