Reservations to travel to the Canary Islands rise by 88.8% in the last week, according to TravelgateX

Despite the growth, they are still 39.1% below the same figure last year

Hotel reservations in the Canary Islands have increased by 88.8% from October 19 to 25 compared to the previous week, although they are still 39.1% below the same figure last year, according to a report published this Monday by TravelgateX.

According to data from this tourism technology company, the islands have accounted for 32.69% of the total reservations made in Spain, well above the 20% they represented in the week of October 12 to 18.

TravelgateX data reveals that of the reservations made with destination Spain, the vast majority are made 2 or 3 days in advance, that 46.4% are trips for couples and that 40% are looking for stays of 2 to 5 days.
