People born in 2007, in Lanzarote there were 1,689 births that year, can now apply for the 400 euros of the Cultural Bonus from the Ministry of Culture, which they can use to purchase cultural products, services and activities.
To apply, people who have turned or will turn 18 in 2025 must register and complete the application procedure on the web until October 31, 2025.
It will be essential that, previously, interested parties obtain one of these three forms of digital identification: Cl@ve with basic registration (which can be requested and obtained by video call), Cl@ve with advanced registration (in person and for those who have not yet turned 18), or the digital certificate.
Young people interested in applying for the Young Cultural Bonus can carry out the procedure in their own name or through the representation of an adult, for which it is necessary to attach the representation form downloadable on the website, correctly signed by the beneficiary. In these cases, the family book is not an accrediting document of representation.
Young people who turn 18 in 2025, who are of Spanish nationality, have legal residence in Spain, are asylum seekers, temporary displaced persons or formerly protected foreigners are entitled to this aid. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, there are 534,526 potential beneficiaries throughout the country.
Nearly 3,700 affiliated establishments
From the granting of the aid, young people have one year to use the 400 euros in cultural products or services in the affiliated establishments, 3,700 throughout Spain.
The Young Cultural Bonus works with a prepaid card that the beneficiary can have virtually on their mobile phone or receive physically at their home.
With this card you can enjoy cultural experiences and products, which are divided into three categories to encourage diversification of spending. Up to 100 euros for physical products such as books or records; up to 100 euros for digital products, and up to 200 euros for performing arts and museums.
The objective of the Ministry of Culture with this initiative is twofold: on the one hand, it shows the interest of a broad spectrum of the young Spanish population in culture, which this initiative helps to retain as an audience and cultural consumer for the future; and, on the other hand, it offers additional support to the cultural sector.
