The Macassar decoration store, located at number 93 of Blas Cabrera Tophan street, has obtained the first prize of the III Christmas Window Dressing Contest organized by Felapyme among the commerce of Arrecife. The second prize has gone to the Suspicious Style store, located at 14 Otilia Díaz street, while the third award has been for Confecciones Tito, located at number 20 of Fajardo street. The prizes, endowed with 300, 200 and 100 euros, respectively, were delivered on Wednesday, December 24 in each of the establishments.

After the visit made to the thirty-one businesses participating in the contest during the afternoon of last Monday, the jury decided to award the first prize to the Macassar decoration store for standing out in originality and lighting and presenting each showcase as a well-harmonized and defined space. The "tremendous originality", creativity and daring gave the second place to Suspicious Style. In the scoring of Confecciones Tito for the third prize weighed, in addition to the originality, the use of recycled material, the composition and the good lighting.

The jury was formed by Humberto Tavío de León, Culture coordinator of the Arrecife City Council, Mar Álvarez Pérez, interior designer and window dresser, and Alfredo Díaz, from the César Manrique Foundation. In its deliberation, the jury wanted to highlight the decoration of the showcases of Multiópticas Pérez-Durán, Farmacia Fajardo and Perfumería Dalia, but also made a series of suggestions for all the participants: take more care of the lighting of the showcases, greater daring in the decoration and avoid excessive overloading.
