The Government of the Canary Islands has just resolved the mobility aid for artists and professionals in the cultural sector between the different islands, and also outside the archipelago, in order to attend contracts or invitations in this area.

It will allocate a total of more than 600,000 euros, an amount that will be distributed among the 376 proposals approved in a public call and that represent 82% of the applications submitted.

This call has been organized by the Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture, through its General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage.

The list of proposals that receive this support can be consulted in the calls section has been published including the score achieved by each project and the financial aid that each one will receive.

This initiative contributes to compensate for the additional costs generated by the island status and allows artists, creators, as well as professionals and non-profit associations, to extend their artistic proposals not only within this autonomous community but also in the rest of the state territory or in any country in the world, provided they meet a series of requirements, including having residence in the Canary Islands.

Subsidizable are tours, concerts, artistic residencies, exhibitions, festivals, fairs and markets or literary presentations.

Also for screenings, participation in congresses, forums or multidisciplinary meetings; as well as in research and activities for the dissemination of Canary cultural heritage. Likewise, this support is also contemplated for attendance at any other event of a cultural nature in which they present their creations and proposals to the public in person.

The period covered by this call refers to proposals made between November 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024.
