Lanzarote's population remained stable in 2021

The number of residents in Lanzarote remained practically stable during 2021 compared to 2020, with a growth of 0.2% according to data offered by the Data Center of Lanzarote.

Specifically, the population of insular law amounts in December 2021 to 156,189 people, compared to 155,812 the previous year (+377). To this population data of law should be added a tourist population of 18,293 residents, with which the total population adds up to 174,482 people.

The most populated municipality is Arrecife with a total population of 64,751 people. It is followed by Tías with 28,265, Teguise (26,921), Yaiza (23,056), San Bartolomé (19,147), Tinajo (6,960) and Haría (5,381).

As for the tourist population, Tías welcomes 7,464 people, followed by Yaiza (6,079) and Teguise (3,877).
