The general secretary of the PSOE in the Canary Islands, José Miguel Pérez, held a meeting with the Minister of Development, José Blanco, this Thursday, with whom he discussed the call for a strike by Aena workers. "There is full confidence that there will be dialogue with the unions to reach an early agreement, so we must send a message of calm for air communications in the Canary Islands in the face of this announcement of labor conflict," said the Canary Socialist.

After the meeting with the Minister of Development, José Miguel Pérez expressed confidence that the "magnificent situation" of tourist arrivals to the Canary Islands can be maintained, despite the labor conflict situation of Aena workers. The Secretary of State for Territorial Cooperation, Gaspar Zarrías, was also present at this meeting.

It should be remembered that the Aena unions have called 22 days of strike from Easter to the end of summer. All strike days coincide with key dates of the holiday period.
