The annual percentage of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased in June compared to May in all autonomous communities.
In the Canary Islands, the reduction was one percentage point to 3.9%, according to figures released this Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The data reflect that nationally the rate is 1.9%, almost one and a half points lower than that recorded the previous month.
Last month, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased in the Canary Islands at an annual rate of 12.8%, while that of housing fell by 9.4%.
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, on the one hand, and household goods, on the other, registered increases of 6.2% and 5.7%, respectively.
Clothing and footwear rose by 0.8%.
