The strike that Ryanair's cabin crew is carrying out this Friday is being especially felt at the Lanzarote airport, where dozens of passengers have been surprised by the cancellation of their flights. Although the airline did not publicly announce which flights would be canceled in Spain, La Voz had already learned of the suspension of one. However, in the end there have been at least three flights that have not departed from Guacimeta on this day.
One of those flights, which La Voz had already reported, was destined for Birmingham and should have taken off at 7:50 a.m. The other two were scheduled to depart at 7:25 and 7:30 to Knock and Shannon.
In addition to these cancellations, there are also delays in other flights and the confusion and discomfort of passengers, who have formed long queues in front of the Ryanair counter at the Guacimenta airport to demand explanations.
Although the airline continues to not provide detailed data on how many flights have been canceled or will be canceled in the remainder of this strike day, the Ministry of Development has made public that until 11 a.m., only two out of every three scheduled Ryanair flights had taken off. Specifically, of the 54 that were scheduled until that time throughout Spain, only 36 had operated.
