The plenary session of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa approves its integration into the Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services (AICO) and the Network of Island Chambers of the European Union (INSULEUR).

The Lanzarote Chamber will be part of these organizations to "achieve greater regional, national and international presence". It is one of the objectives that the new chamber directive has set in its commitment to "increase relations with countries that demonstrate investment potential on the island".

"The contacts will allow us to establish links between our entrepreneurs to generate investment agreements in Lanzarote," the Chamber explained. In that line, they have detailed how the Ibero-American Association "offers connectivity, training, commercial arbitration and a business center that is an online market where entrepreneurs can get suppliers, co-investors, make exports and imports and commercial alliances".

On the other hand, the INSULEUR Association to which Island Chambers of Commerce of the European Union belong, based in Greece and with representation in Brussels, aims to strengthen the economic development of the European islands, ensuring that the specific needs of island companies are considered in European policies. This association generates opportunities through agreements, project management and network collaborations. The INSULEUR 2022 annual forum is organized by the Gran Canaria Chamber and will take place on December 1 and 2.
