The new Lidl supermarket in Playa Blanca opens its doors to the public this Friday. This inauguration marks a milestone for the town, which now has a new commercial area to meet the demands of its residents.

The establishment, located in the Montaña Roja Industrial Zone, covers a total area of 3,000 square meters, including the store and facilities, and will maintain public opening hours from 08:30 to 22:00, from Monday to Sunday.

Montaña Roja Industrial Zone: a strategic boost for Playa Blanca

The Montaña Roja Industrial Zone, promoted by Club Lanzarote, represents a strategic step for the commercial and industrial development of Playa Blanca.

This ambitious commercial development responds to a historical demand from residents for new food and commercial surfaces, which allow them to cover their consumption needs without the need for additional travel. It includes a total area of 35,000 square meters destined for the construction of establishments that complement the current offer, thus facilitating the daily life of the inhabitants of this southern town.

Located at the entrance of Playa Blanca, specifically on Calle Alemania, next to the LZ-701, the area offers easy access and has ample free parking, which ensures a comfortable experience for shoppers.

Official inauguration: local authorities and representatives

The official inauguration of the new LIDL took place last Thursday, November 28, with the presence of prominent representatives such as Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote; Óscar Noda, mayor of Yaiza; and Daniel Díaz, director of Lidl in the Canary Islands. Representatives from Club Lanzarote, promoter of the Montaña Roja Industrial Estate, also attended, in addition to other local authorities.

With the arrival of Lidl and the development of new commercial proposals in the Montaña Roja Industrial Zone, Playa Blanca continues to consolidate itself as a key nucleus for the economic growth of southern Lanzarote.
