Last Friday, June 7, the inauguration ceremony of the new Toyota Fuerteventura facilities was held, before a large group of guests. Jerónimo Quevedo Guerra, co-founder of the Faycan Group together with José Antonio Rijo Perdomo, thanked the authorities, as well as the management of Toyota Canarias, clients and friends for their presence "at this special and historic moment for the company, where a dream come true culminates".
Before giving the floor to Ismael Alemán, General Director of Toyota Canarias, Jerónimo Quevedo Guerra explained that the inauguration of the new facilities is a very important moment for the company and "represents a milestone in our history in the automobile market in Fuerteventura, with a change of model to which we are accustomed and where we can offer the society of Majorera a new way of acquiring their vehicle in a totally personalized and tailored way".
He also emphasized that at the beginning of this project in 2014, when Grupo Faycan became the official Toyota dealer on the island, they set out to raise this brand with effort, work and dedication, and that after these 10 years and always with the support of Toyota Canarias "we can say that part of the objectives have been achieved, positioning ourselves as one of the most important brands on the island of Fuerteventura" also thanking his team for their dedication and commitment since "without them it would not have been possible".
Ismael Alemán for his part expressed his satisfaction and congratulated the Faycan Group for the achievements reached on the island of Fuerteventura, for the great work done and that without a doubt "today we celebrate a story of success, commitment and work well done, since Faycan Motor has become a leader in service and customer service on the island, managing to give a very personal touch to the dealership with fantastic results in recent years and also now, for a year also on the island of Lanzarote, after its recent acquisition for the Toyota brand as a dealer in its island of origin".
Before giving way to Jerónimo Quevedo Cabrera, head of the Toyota business unit within the Faycan Group, Alemán explained that the Toyota brand is in a process of absolute renovation in the Canary Islands and that the inauguration of the new facilities in Fuerteventura is the demonstration of what is to come.
Jerónimo Quevedo Cabrera for his part referred to the beginnings of this business group, where his father Jerónimo Quevedo Guerra and his partner Jose Antonio Rijo Perdomo, more than fifty years ago "started what is today a Canarian company strongly rooted in the territory and its people, closely linked to the economic activity of the islands and over the years have demonstrated their ability to adapt and transform despite the difficulties that have arisen along the way, setting the bar very high and now the new generation has to follow their legacy with pride and responsibility".

The event ended with the performance of the well-known musician and timplista Domingo Rodríguez known as "El Colorao", ambassador of our culture and traditions, who together with his daughter María Rodríguez performed an emotional Canarian Isa with a very personal touch that paid tribute to D. Jerónimo.
Also present were the President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola García, the Minister of Territorial Policy Manuel Miranda, the Mayor of Puerto del Rosario David de Vera, the Councilor of the Island Area of Tourism, Economic Development and Ecological Transition, Marlene Figueroa, the deputy of Coalición Canaria Mario Cabrera and Manuel Hernández Cerezo deputy of PSOE.
The new facilities
Faycan Motor has inaugurated its new facilities at Calle El Henequén number 11, in the Risco Prieto Industrial Estate. This new space offers an expanded exhibition area for new vehicles, with 480 square meters, and the opening of an exhibition of used vehicles of 200 square meters.
This expansion not only represents an increase in surface area, but also a comprehensive renovation of the brand, aligned with the New Retail Concept. This concept introduces a new image and the incorporation of advanced digital tools to improve the customer experience. This change is being implemented throughout Europe, and Fuerteventura is proud to be the first dealer in the islands to adopt these innovations.
