The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has endorsed this Friday the "freedom" of the Minister of Education, Manuela Armas, to form her work team and dismiss senior positions after a period of analysis since she arrived at the department.
In a working breakfast to take stock of the first year of the legislature, Torres commented that it is a proposal "of hers" to propose other people to share the management tasks after a period that "has not been easy for anyone" due to the abrupt suspension of classes and the preparation of the new course.
Torres, who has thanked the work of the outgoing officials, has acknowledged that "a lot of wear and tear" was generated in the Ministry during the most acute months of the pandemic.
Specifically, the Executive has dismissed the Director General of Universities, Antonio Aparicio, the Director General of Vocational Training and Adult Education, María de la Fe González, the Director General of Personnel, María Soledad Collado Mirabal and the Director of the Agency, Dulce María González.
