The president of the College of Physicians of Las Palmas, Pedro Cabrera, wanted to make clear this Monday that this organization does not share the request of the Assembly of the General Council of Colleges of Physicians (CGCOM), which groups the 52 Colleges of Physicians of Spain, to request the immediate dismissal of Fernando Simón as director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health.
Cabrera has clarified that this issue was not on the agenda, so "it should not have been voted on," while stating that he had connection problems, so the College of Physicians of Las Palmas "did not" participate in that decision, but also "does not" share it.
For Cabrera, "let him who has not had failures throughout this pandemic raise his hand," since he considered that "everyone" has been "wrong in this pandemic," so he believes that "it is not fair" to ask for his dismissal, attributing to him a "manifest incapacity."
