The Canary Islands closes Saturday with no deaths and six new positives

The Canary Islands closed this Saturday without deaths from coronavirus, remaining at 160 --no deaths since Wednesday-- and with six new infected people, bringing the total figure to 2,354, according to the data balance of the Ministry of Health published at 8:00 p.m. and compared to Friday.

In addition, the archipelago has added another 8 discharges and already has 1,976 and active cases decrease to 218, of which 184 are in their homes, 27 in hospitals and only 7 in Intensive Care Units (ICU).

By islands, Tenerife accumulates a total of 1,489 cases followed by Gran Canaria (588), La Palma (98), Lanzarote (86), Fuerteventura (45), La Gomera (8) and El Hierro (3).

Regarding the deceased, the coronavirus is more lethal among those over 80 years of age with a total of 76 deaths, almost half of the total in the archipelago, where only Tenerife has registered 109.
