The Canary Islands accumulates its sixth consecutive day without deaths from coronavirus and remains at 161, according to the data balance of the Ministry of Health of the Regional Government at 8:00 p.m., which adds a new positive case and raises the total number of accumulated cases to 2,377.

In addition, this Monday there have been 12 discharges --reaching 2,090 in total-- and active cases drop to 126, of which 100 pass the disease at home, 21 are hospitalized and five occupy a bed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), all in Tenerife.

By islands, Tenerife leads with 1,497 cases, followed by Gran Canaria (597), La Palma (104), Lanzarote (87), Fuerteventura (46), La Gomera (8) and El Hierro (3) and there are 78 municipalities with declared cases.

The most affected age group is 40-49 years with 424 cases, although mortality is more lethal among those over 80 years, with a total of 75 deaths, of which 110 are located in Tenerife.
