The Canary Islands has confirmed this Saturday a decrease in infections to 87 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19, which makes a total of 97,813 since the beginning of the pandemic.
As reported by the Ministry of Health of the Regional Government, there are currently 1,277 active patients, of which 19 are admitted to the ICU and 103 remain hospitalized.
For its part, in the last hours there has been the death of an 88-year-old man in La Palma, who suffered from previous pathologies and remained hospitalized.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 29 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 57.45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 33 cases with a total of 46,646 accumulated cases and 572 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 37,350 accumulated cases, 34 more than the previous day and 523 active.
Meanwhile, Lanzarote registers nine new cases with 7,143 accumulated and 61 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 4,640 accumulated cases, with 10 new cases, and 90 active.
La Palma does not add new positives, so it remains at 1,147 accumulated and 21 active, while El Hierro, without new cases, remains at 468 accumulated and two active. La Gomera, reports a new positive, has 418 accumulated and its assets are eight.
Finally, until this Saturday a total of 2,274,744 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 3,871 correspond to yesterday.
