The Canary Islands added a total of 1,378 new cases of coronavirus this Wednesday. In addition, in the last hours the death of eight people between 72 and 93 years old has been reported, except for a 56-year-old patient. Of the total number of deaths, four were registered in Gran Canaria, two in Tenerife, one in Lanzarote and another in El Hierro. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
Until this Wednesday, a total of 3,111,331 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 8,143 correspond to Tuesday.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 392.15 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,103.33 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 444 cases with a total of 48,076 cases epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 657 more than the previous day and 43,809 active. Lanzarote adds 73 new cases with 3,574 epidemiologically active. Fuerteventura has 110 new cases and 6,539 active. La Palma adds 71 new positives, so it has 908 active. El Hierro adds 16 new positives and has 128 active cases and La Gomera adds 7 new cases, so its assets are 108.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 259,627 with 103,142 active, of which 90 are admitted to the ICU and 603 remain hospitalized.
