Canary Islands reports nine more deaths and adds 1,240 positive cases of Covid

The Canary Islands added 1,240 new cases of coronavirus this Wednesday. In addition, in the last hours the death of nine people between the ages of 63 and 96 has been reported. Of the total number of deaths, seven were reported in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.

As of this Wednesday, a total of 3,154,167 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,643 correspond to the previous day.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 270.32 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 688.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 531 cases with a total of 49,017 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 488 more than the previous day, 46,239 active cases. Lanzarote adds 112 new cases with 2,227 epidemiologically active cases. Fuerteventura has 39 new cases and 7,013 active cases. La Palma adds 39 new positives, bringing the total to 495 active cases. El Hierro adds 12 new positives and has 88 active cases, and La Gomera adds 19 new cases, so its active cases are 111.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 267,247 with 105,190 active cases, of which 76 are admitted to the ICU and 541 remain hospitalized.
