Canary Islands registers almost 300 cases and one death in the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands has registered 280 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so that the accumulated number reaches 100,263, while it reports one death in Gran Canaria corresponding to a woman, 92 years old, who suffered from previous pathologies and was in hospital, in such a way that the deaths in the islands reach 1,030, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health of the Regional Government.

Thus, of the total accumulated cases, 2,173 are active, of which 22 are admitted to the ICU, 159 remain hospitalized and 1992 are at home.

The Cumulative Incidence in the Canary Islands is 67.74 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 7 days and 115.72 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 14 days.

By islands, Tenerife adds 142 cases and reaches an accumulated 47,756, of which 1,005 are epidemiologically active; while Gran Canaria accumulates 38,226 after 95 more and currently has 812 active. In addition, Lanzarote adds 13 new cases to accumulate 7,343, of which 124 are active.

Fuerteventura, meanwhile, has 4,845 accumulated cases after adding 20 and currently has 185 active, while La Palma adds two new positives to accumulate 1,176, of which 24 are active.

On the other hand, El Hierro does not add new positives, so it accumulates 469, of which two are active, and La Gomera adds eight new cases to accumulate 447, of which 21 are active.

Until this Friday, a total of 2,337,903 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 6,373 correspond to the previous day.
