Canary Islands has added 529 new positive cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, in which it has also had to regret five deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health, two of the deaths have been recorded in La Palma and the other three in Tenerife. The deceased in La Palma are two women aged 88 and 64 and those in Tenerife are two men aged 77 and 27 and a woman aged 47. Except for the 27-year-old man and the 64-year-old woman, the rest suffered from previous pathologies.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 87,115, of which 15,629 are active, after 474 discharges have also been added. In the ICU there are 102 patients admitted and 447 in the hospital ward, while the remaining 15,080 are in home isolation.
The accumulated incidence at seven days in the Canary Islands stands at 165.77 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 406.17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife has added 252 cases and has 9,004 epidemiologically active, Gran Canaria has registered 223 new positives and has 5,947 active cases, Lanzarote has reported 26 new cases and has 193 active, and Fuerteventura has added 23 new positives and has 415 active cases.
La Palma has registered three new cases and has 53 active cases, El Hierro has added one case and has nine active cases, and La Gomera has also increased its cases by one and has six active cases.
The data reported today represent a decrease of 291 positives compared to last Thursday, when 820 new infections were reported and also in comparison with the previous day, when 602 new cases were reported.
Until this Thursday, 1,914,316 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,610 correspond to the last day.
