Canary Islands adds 3 deaths and 168 new infections

The Canary Islands have registered 168 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total of accumulated cases in the islands now rises to 50,621 with 4,589 active, of which 83 are admitted to the ICU and 314 remain hospitalized, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Likewise, in the last hours the death of three people has been reported, two in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria. The total number of deaths in the Canary Islands since the beginning of the pandemic is now 711, of which 394 have been in Tenerife; 245 in Gran Canaria; 48 in Lanzarote; 13 in Fuerteventura; 6 in La Palma; 4 in El Hierro, and 1 in La Gomera.

The Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days is located in the Canary Islands in the 65.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is in the 138.42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 1,014,538 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 2,819 correspond to the last 24 hours.

By islands, Tenerife adds 69 new infections with a total of 21,535 accumulated cases and 2,476 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 21,000 accumulated cases, 72 more than the previous day, and 1,751 active; Lanzarote adds 14 new cases with 4,827 accumulated and 128 epidemiologically active, and Fuerteventura has 2,204 accumulated cases with 9 more than the previous day and 189 active.

La Palma does not add new cases and has 498 accumulated and 13 active cases; El Hierro adds 4 cases, so its accumulated rises to 329 and has 29 active cases. La Gomera does not add new cases either, so its accumulated remains at 227 and 2 active
