Canary Islands adds 235 new cases of Covid in the last day

Health reports provisionally this Saturday 235 new cases of coronavirus. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 100,498 with 2,322 active, of which 22 are admitted to the ICU and 161 remain hospitalized. In the last hours no deaths linked to the coronavirus have been reported.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 70.04 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 121.10 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 104 cases with a total of 1,055 cases active epidemiologically; Gran Canaria has 88 more than the previous day and 881 active. Lanzarote adds 15 new cases with 133 active epidemiologically; Fuerteventura has 25 new cases, and 210 active. La Palma adds three new positives, bringing the total to 27 active. El Hierro does not add new positives, so its assets are two. La Gomera, without new cases, remains with 14 active.

Until this Saturday a total of 2,343,648 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 5,745 correspond to Friday.

The Ministry of Health recalls that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams this Monday, day 22. In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
