Canary Islands adds 131 positive cases and one death in the last 24 hours

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence, at 7 days it drops to 55.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 122.66 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 131 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the islands now rises to 51,586, while deaths reach 720 after one person died in Gran Canaria, according to the data that the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government updates daily after 2:00 p.m.

Thus, of the total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands, 3,955 are active (+70 compared to the previous day), of which 82 are admitted to the ICU (+3), 301 remain hospitalized (+1) and 3,572 are at home (+66). In addition, 47,181 people have overcome the disease after being discharged 60.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA), at 7 days it drops in the Canary Islands to 55.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 122.66 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, 1,036,587 PCR tests have been carried out on the islands, 2,876 of them in the last day.

By islands, Tenerife adds 70 new infections and accumulates 22,276 cases, of which 2,390 are epidemiologically active, 402 have died and 19,484 have been cured; while Gran Canaria has 21,364 accumulated cases (+47), of which 1,345 are active, 246 have died (+1) and 19,773 have been discharged from hospital.

Lanzarote, for its part, adds 10 new cases to accumulate 4,890, of which 106 are epidemiologically active, 48 people have died and 4,736 have overcome the disease; while Fuerteventura has 2,249 accumulated cases (+2), of which 76 are active, 13 have died and 2,160 have been cured.

The island of La Palma maintains one positive, up to 503 accumulated cases, of which 8 are active, six have died and 489 have overcome the disease; El Hierro accumulates 345 cases by adding a new one, of which there are 28 active, in addition it registers four deaths and 313 people who have been discharged.

Finally, La Gomera remains without new cases in the last day with 228 accumulated, of which it has two active, as well as accounting for one death during the pandemic and 225 people who have been discharged from hospital.
