The Canary Islands registered 104 new cases of coronavirus this Monday. The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 98,013 with 1,359 active, of which 20 are admitted to the ICU and 118 remain hospitalized. In addition, in the last few hours the death of two people in Tenerife has been reported, an 87-year-old woman and a 74-year-old man. Both suffered from previous pathologies and remained in hospital.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 32.08 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 59.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 42 cases with a total of 597 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 45 more than the previous day and 568 active. Lanzarote adds five new cases with 50 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has five new cases, and 103 active. La Palma adds five new positives and 28 are active, while El Hierro, without new cases, remains with one active. La Gomera reports two new positives, so its assets are 12.
Until this Monday, a total of 2,279,909 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,070 correspond to Sunday.
