A technical failure left passengers on a Seville-Lanzarote flight waiting for almost 12 hours at the Seville airport this Monday. This was reported by one of these travelers, who explains that the flight was scheduled to depart at 11:35 a.m., but did not do so until 11:00 p.m., according to the company, due to "technical problems" on the plane. This passenger criticizes the airline's "lack of transparency" in informing travelers, as well as the "irritability, lack of empathy and little patience" of its employees.

According to her, the company's staff informed passengers that the plane would depart for Lanzarote at 8:00 p.m., 8 and a half hours later than planned. "They recommended that we not leave the terminal due to possible new flight news, so people who had a house in Seville could not leave the vicinity of the airport," she says. However, the plane did not take off until 11:00 p.m., landing in Guacimeta at midnight.

This passenger reports that, during those 11 and a half hours of waiting, there was "a lack of transparency on the part of all the staff attached to the company." She criticizes the "lack of efficiency on the part of the company for not having an alternative B plan for cases like this" and also the "irritability, lack of empathy and little patience of the girls at the Ryanair counter, who kept telling us that they were not to blame for anything and that they were only limited to reading what their bosses sent them," she says.

Another aspect that she reproaches Ryanair for is the money that it provides to travelers for meals during the wait. "On three occasions they handed out food tickets worth 5 euros per person, a total of 15 euros to spend the day at the airport; which seems ridiculous to me since any sandwich plus a soft drink costs 6.40 euros," she explains. "It was expensive for us and they did not comply with the departure time, which at first they told us very convinced that it would be at 8:00 p.m.," she indicates. "Everything has been reported and we will request the corresponding compensation to which we are entitled," she says, stressing her desire that "misfortunes do not happen again by this or any other company."
