A reader of La Voz complains that a group of palm trees have been "abandoned to their fate" by the Teguise City Council.

Specifically, the man points out that it is a small palm grove of more than 20 plants on Gran Aldea street, in the direction of Los Valles, next to the CEIP Doctor Alfonso Spinola.

"It is not cleaned, nor maintained and it is a great pity to see those withered Canary Island palm trees, dry palms and surviving from the scarce rains, as well as the small humidity that falls at night," says the reader.

"I hope this news will stir the environmental conscience of said City Council and water as soon as possible," he adds.
