A reader has contacted La Voz to report the "chaotic scenes" that are being recorded in El Golfo and demand a "greater police presence" in the area.

"On Monday, August 23, we were in El Golfo and saw about 50 people on the beach of Charco de los Clicos. When there were already people down there, many more tourists also began to go down to the beach. However, it caught our attention that most had taken the southern path, which has been closed since 2016," explains this man, who points out that, faced with this, they drove to Los Hervideros "to see where all those people had parked."

Upon arriving there, he states that they found that there were "about 18 vehicles illegally parked in the curve of the mountain of El Golfo, which caused some chaotic scenes with respect to traffic." Apparently, these people are not aware of the danger of falling rocks nor do they respect the rules and laws of our island," he criticizes.

Therefore, he points out that "a greater police presence" in the area "would be appreciated so that these scenes are not repeated."
