A resident of Lanzarote has contacted La Voz to report what happened to a person "very close" to him who, he says, suffered a break in a toe and other injuries after falling due to the poor condition of the asphalt on Calle Portugal in Arrecife.
"When she went to cross it, she unknowingly put her right foot in a large hole in the road. Immediately afterwards, she fell to the ground, with such bad luck that all the weight of her body fell on that leg," says this citizen.
As a result of the fall, she details that the woman suffered a "bone fracture in the fifth metatarsal of her right foot" and a "trauma and erosion in her left knee."
Faced with this, this neighbor demands that "those responsible provide a solution to this problem as soon as possible." "Because a similar event could happen to a child or an elderly person with worse consequences," he says.
