"Apparently, young people have no right to study, or work, or anything. And the best part is that they call us the NI-NI generation". This is how the letter that a young student has sent to La Voz begins to complain about the delay in the payment of transportation grants awarded by some institutions on the island.
"When is the Cabildo's transportation grant going to be released? And when are they going to deposit the transportation grant from the Tinajo City Council for the same course?", he asks.
Regarding the Cabildo's aid, this student states that in previous years they could apply for it when they came to Lanzarote during Easter holidays. "And for the following course we had it, but as of today nothing is known about it yet," he says.
As for the aid granted by Tinajo, this young man finds it "shameful" that nothing is known yet. "And what is even worse is that they told us that it would be given, as every year, during Easter."
"I understand that there is no money, but at least show your face, because we can understand that with the crisis the institutions do not have a penny, but we depend on the grants and even more so if we are talking about the transportation grant," he concludes.
