UD Las Zocas cut the positive streak of the last days of UD Lanzarote, leaving the rojillos' options to fight for the fourth place in the Third Division standings diminished. An entertaining match was offered by both teams, with uncertainty due to the tight score and which was decided with the early goal of Jonathan Sesma. UD Lanzarote sent a ball to the crossbar in the first half and claimed a penalty for a defender's handball inside the area.

The match began in the best way for the interests of UD Las Zocas, taking the lead on the scoreboard in the 9th minute of the first half. A good cross from Jesua was controlled by Jonathan Sesma inside the area, the striker was left alone against Alejandro and sent the ball into the back of the net.

UD Lanzarote could have achieved the equalizer in the 19th minute. Quintero attempted a vaseline, sending the ball into the hands of goalkeeper David. Just a minute later, a cross from local Jorge was finished off by Jonathan Sesma, Alejandro deflected the shot and Jesua could not take advantage of the rebound, with a defender clearing the danger.

The Lanzarote team did not have clear ideas to overcome the defense of UD Las Zocas and, in addition, from the 63rd minute they had to play with one less player on the field. Javi Betancort was sent off with a double yellow card.

The match also had controversy, such as the one that occurred in the 67th minute. The referee did not understand as punishable a handball by Cherre inside the area, with the consequent protests from the players of UD Lanzarote.

On the counterattack, UD Las Zocas created danger in this second part of the match. A cross from Pablo was finished off by Cristian in the small area, with Alejandro responding to prevent the second goal. Shortly after, it was UD Lanzarote that generated a goalscoring opportunity, with a shot from Rosmen and Pablo preventing it from becoming the equalizer.

Until the end of the match, UD Lanzarote continued to try, although in the final stretch of the match it was UD Las Zocas that had the best chances.
