The leader of the Third Division visited the Lanzarote Sports City against a UD Lanzarote that was eagerly seeking the three points at stake to continue its recovery in the standings and continue fighting to be among the top four places in the league.

Thus, the rojillo team went all out from the beginning and was able to take the lead on the scoreboard in the first dangerous play, in the third minute, when Kennedy entered on the right wing, passed the ball to Ayoze who looked for the second post with a cross that Borja finished off, but it went wide, close to Guanche's right post.

In the first quarter of an hour of the match, the yellow team had the opportunity to take the lead with a header from Siverio, alone, in the small area in front of Agoney, after receiving a cross from Yeremi, but he arrived very forced and his header went high.

Half an hour into the game, the course of the match could have changed if the referee of the match, Javier Simón Cardona Rodríguez, had not overlooked the foul suffered by Ayoze inside the Gran Canaria area by the visiting goalkeeper, when he had already shaken him off by passing the ball over him. The referee's decision not to sanction the maximum penalty angered the players and the local bench, ending with the expulsion of Adolfo Pérez.

The yellow subsidiary took good advantage of this local exasperation, taking the lead through Benito, taking advantage of a quick team play and beating Agoney low. The match was in the 35th minute.

UD Lanzarote was losing the match, and had lost the ball, circumstances that the visiting team took advantage of to try to put the finishing touch to the match, but the local defense was attentive to prevent it, reaching the end of the first half with the result of 0 to 1.

At the beginning of the second half, UD Lanzarote made its second change, since in the first half it withdrew Marcos Cabrera for Toñito, now bringing in Pelegrín for Miñano. The local team gained strength and took control of the game from the restart whistle, achieving the equalizer 10 minutes into the second half.

The local team entered on the right through Kennedy, who managed to hang the ball on the second post where Ayoze Pérez clearly entered to head the ball into the back of the net.

The Lanzarote Sports City erupted in jubilation and UD Lanzarote gained integers. Las Palmas Atlético had lost its place and UD Lanzarote had taken over the game, but joy is never complete and only 4 minutes later, after a foul received by a player from the rojillo team, a tumult is mounted in the center of the field ending with the expulsion of Raúl for assaulting a rival, at the request of assistant Acorán Delgado.

With 10 players in the local team, everything seemed to indicate that the tables would turn, but UD Lanzarote continued to control the match. First it was Javi Betancort who finished off a free kick launched by Borja Vera, but it went wide, and shortly after, in the 65th minute, Javi Betancort himself put his team ahead.

Everything came after a goal kick from Guanche, short to the yellow right back, but the pressure from Toñito made him lose the ball, which reached the feet of Rosmen, with his back to the goal, giving it to Javi Betancort, who came from behind and, with a strong shot, beat the yellow goalkeeper. Adolfo Pérez's team was working the miracle.

After the goal, UD Lanzarote tried to be a little more conservative, or rather, its rival forced it to, which turned to the equalizer, defending well the defensive zone the local team, preventing the rival from having clear chances to face Agoney's goal.

Ronaldo could have achieved the equalizer after a shot from the left that Agoney came out to cover, and after passing the ball to him, Fran Gil took it out from under the posts. The local goalkeeper had little more work to do, although the team coached by Manuel Marquez was getting closer.

In the 85th minute Yeremi received an interior ball, filtered, which left him alone against Agoney, but his shot went high, a circumstance that was repeated in the 88th minute but this time the yellow defender managed to sneak inside the arc of UD Lanzarote.

With UD Lanzarote dejected and tired, came the goal of the yellow comeback and the final blow for the men of Adolfo Pérez. On this occasion it was Benito who received an interior ball and after galloping to Agoney he shot him putting the final 2 to 3.

Monumental anger that there was in the Lanzarote Sports City before the referee and his assistants at the end of the match for the double standard that they understood that they had had with the players of UD Lanzarote and those of UD Las Palmas Atlético, feeling the local fans hurt by it.

In the end, three points that go home to the leader, even more leader if possible, and that leaves UD Lanzarote in a complicated situation because it is left without three vital points at home, but that will have to continue fighting if it wants to be in the noble positions of the classification at the end of the season, because while there is life.....there is hope.
